Carol Lee (Genovese) Nista, 81, of West Hartford, beloved wife of Angelo A. Nista, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 29, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born in New Haven, CT, daughter of the late Dominic and Marguerite (Mignone) Genovese. She was a graduate of Hamden HS, Class of 1952. She worked for Graybar Electric in her younger years and after raising her children worked part time for the YMCA in West Hartford. Carol was an avid UCONN basketball fan but more than anything she loved spending time with her family. Besides her husband, she is survived by her four children, Brenda and Dale Enloe of Newington, Paul and Karen Nista of West Hartford, Jerry Nista of Mill Valley, CA, and Suzanne and Dean Collins of Bellingham, WA. She also leaves behind her five grandchildren, Patrick, Christopher, Kirsten, Danielle and Cheyenne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at St. Patrick and St. Anthony Church, 285 Church St., Hartford. Everyone is requested to meet at the Church. Burial will be private and there are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter, 200 Executive Boulevard, Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
