Elaine Gerundo   Hanbury
Elaine Gerundo Hanbury, 72, of West Hartford, died suddenly after a courageous battle with Parkinson Disease on August 8, 2016. Born in Hartford on October 23, 1943, daughter of the late Anthony and Alice (Brighenti) Gerundo and lived in Watertown, MA, retiring to West Hartford 4 years ago.
She worked at Dana Films in Watertown, MA for over 35 years. She loved to travel to Ogunquit Maine with her friends from Massachusetts, and loved family gatherings.
Elaine is survived by a sister Lynn Gerundo; an aunt Vivian Hassett; cousins Leonard Pericolosi, Catherine Modena, Ellen Murtha, Marcia Howard, Marie Brennan, Raymond Antaya, Mark Antaya, Steven Pericolosi, Frank Pericolosi, Charles Pericolosi, and her former husband Robert Hanbury. A special thanks to the staff at The Jerome Home of New Britain for their care and compassion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter Claver Church, West Hartford on Saturday, August 13 at 10AM. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford . Friends may call at The Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford on Friday from 4-7 PM.
