Obituary for E. Eileen Dick Krebs

E. Eileen Dick Krebs
Eileen Krebs passed away after a short illness at Hartford Hospital on Feb. 22, 2017.She was raised on a farm in New Brunswick, Canada, youngest daughter of John and Viola Dick. She was educated in a one room school house and moved to CT permanently at age 18. She worked for Liberty Mutual and earned the title of Miss Congeniality in the company. She is survived by her husband Oz , the love of her life, whom she met at a YMCA dance and they were married in 1949. They shared 67 years of partnering together and as they aged, they became co-dependent, each making sure the other was cared for. She was a spitfire for sure and always the life of any gathering. Their passion for many years was square dancing with the Shooting Stars of West Hartford. Eileen could replay many of the calls and the great grandchildren got all her petticoats to dress up with. Family was everything to her. Oz and Eileen had 3 children; Linda K. Lascelles( Steve) of Litchfield, NH, Cheryl K. Fulk ( Doug) of Lebanon , OR,. and Kyle Krebs of South Windsor. Grandchildren (of which she was extremely proud of their accomplishments) include : Nicole Davis ( Jay), Beth Waudby, Brandon Lascelles (Stephanie), Natalie Krebs and Benjamin Krebs. Great grandchildren (who brought her incredible joy) include: Shelby Davis (Jon), Madeline Davis, Siena and Lucca Lascelles. Special and former family members include; Doug Dobles (Peg), Candy McKay and Rich Lascelles along with several nieces and nephews. Eileen was predeceased in death by her loving sister Louise Dobles and brother Eldon Dick.Messages of condolences may be left online at www.SheehanHilbornBreen.com. Special appreciation and thanks go to Dr. Michelle Stone and the staff at Hartford Healthcare for years of great care and Hartford Hospital for superior end of life care. Donations may be made to Elmwood Community Church. A celebration of life will be held end of June when family members can attend.
