Arthur Edward Staib, 91, passed peacefully on Monday, July 17. He was born in Wethersfield, CT, son of the late Harry and Sarah (Nichol) Staib. Arthur was predeceased by his brothers, George and Harry and his sisters, Shirley, Gloria and Beverly. Arthur graduated from the University of Connecticut and retired from Niagara Machine and Tool in Buffalo, NY. Arthur was a remarkable, bright and energetic man who travelled with his wife of 70 years, Isabel V. (DelGardia) Staib; a very close niece Barbara Jurgelas; a very special friend, Lynn Gallinoto and many other nieces and nephew. Arthur was a member of the Indian Hill Country Club, Newington and the Rockledge Golf Club, West Hartford. A calling hour will be from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Thursday, (July 20), at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 am at the funeral home.
