Ronald Thomas  Nelson Sr.
Ronald Thomas Nelson, Sr. entered eternal peace on August 28, 2017. He was born on March 21, 1963 in Revere MA. Ronald was the son of the late Kenneth S. Nelson, Sr. and Denise B. Nelson and is survived by his brother, Kenneth S. Nelson, Sr. Kenco Mechanical Services, a family owned business, is where Ronald began his career in HVAC through which he became a wonderful provider.
Ronald was survived by his wife of 34 years, Kathleen Powers Nelson, his daughter, Bridget Nelson and her fiancée Marcelo, his daughter, Amanda Gordon and her husband Michael, his daughter, Heather Nelson and her fiancée Irvin, and by his son, Ronald T. Nelson, Jr. and his fiancée Alyssa. He was loved by his grandchildren , Joseph, Marcelo, Jakob, Mercedi, Jaxson, Trinity, Hailey, James, Skyler, Xavier, Jalissa, Zerina, and Connor. There were nieces and nephews that he loved as his own as well.
During his 20 years of living in Bristol, CT, Ronald was a Commissioner on the Commission for Persons with Disabilities through the town. He was the Founder of the Disability Support Club and also a member of the Bristol Disabled Buggy Riders.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 5, 2017, from 10:00 am to 12 :30 pm at the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:30 pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations towards funeral expenses. Checks may be written to Ronald T.
