It is with great sadness that the family of Edwin “Juni/Ed/Eddie” Mendoza, Jr. announces his sudden passing on Monday, January 1, 2018 at the age of 36 years. He was born October 17, 1981 in Hartford, CT. He graduated from A.I. Prince Technical High School in 2000. Edwin went on to be an Ironworker for Local Union 15 for 17 years. He was a devoted brother and uncle to two wonderful nephews who were the most important part of his life. He loved spending time with family and friends and also enjoyed camping. Edwin was always helpful and generous with a strong passion for giving. He had a special gift of lifting spirits and bringing laughter into the world. Heaven’s gain is our loss. We will forever miss him dearly. So let us celebrate the memories he has left us on this earth.
He is son of Edwin Mendoza, Sr. and the late Consuelo Santana. He is survived by two sisters, Annette Santana and Mayra S. Holbrook and brother-in-law Brett Holbrook; his maternal grandmother, Beatriz Santos and two nephews, Quyntin and Kiel Adams. He will be deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and his countless friends.
Services will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford, CT 06110.
