Isabel Rodrigues Quiterio, 88, of Marlborough, formerly of East Hartford, wife of the late John Quiterio, died peacefully on January 8, 2018, at Marlborough Health Care Center. She was born on September 4, 1929, the daughter of the late Antonio and Dolores Paes.
Isabel was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and lived there until 1959, when she immigrated to the United States with her husband and son. Isabel was very much a friend and family oriented person. She adored her many animals,and loved to cook for her family. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Sherrie Quiterio of Cooper City, FL; a daughter and son-in-law, Yvette and Charles Wilbraham of Glastonbury and three grandchildren, Katherine of Glastonbury; Stephanie of Clarksville, TN: and Jonathan of Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Isabel was predeceased by her husband, John Quiterio, as well as two siblings, Antonio Paes and Terezinha DeMaria.
Calling hours will be Saturday, (January 13), from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Sheehan, Hilborn Breen Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow, 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Hartford. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Memorial donations can be made to the Connecticut Humane Society as well as Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
