Maria (Rodrigues) Simao, 83, of Hartford, beloved wife of the late of Amadeu Simao, died Saturday, (April 7, 2018) at home. Born in Matanca, Portugal, she had lived in Hartford since 1972 and was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Maria Simao of West Hartford; and three granddaughters, Venessa, Diana and Adriana Simao of West Hartford; a brother and sister-in-law, Antonio and Otilia Nunes; a sister and brother-in-law, Madalena and Alfredo Ribeiro all of Portugal and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Porfirio and Zulmira Nunes and Manuel and Adilia Nunes.
Funeral procession will be Tuesday, (April 10), 9:00 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours will be Monday, (April 9), 5:00 -8:00 pm at the funeral home. A Seven Day Mass will be Saturday, (April 14), 5:00 pm at the Church.
