Obituary for Richard John Papapietro
Richard John Papapietro, of Farmington, CT, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the age of 60 suddenly.
Born on March 25, 1958 in Boston, MA, son of John & Bernice Papapietro, he grew up as the eldest of three in Bristol, CT.
Rick worked at Kaman Aerospace in Bloomfield, CT for over 25 years as well as Hamilton Sundstrand in Windsor Locks for over 10 years.
In 1982, he married the love of his life, Grace Papapietro.
The couple have two cherished children Joshua Richard Papapietro (“Bud”) and Nicole Marie Morrell (“Bubba”). Also, he was a proud soon-to-be grandfather to a granddaughter Penelope or his “BubbaJ”.
Richard is survived by his wife Grace; his son Joshua, his daughter Nicole, son-in-law Craig Morrell; his sisters, Sher Papapietro and Lisa McCall and family. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Richard will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving father, god-father and generous considerate friend, someone who could fix anything and always offer a helping hand.
He will also be remembered for his love of woodworking, gardening and most of all a dream to one day own a Porsche Carrera 911S and since he always prepared, he became an expert on Porsches.
Calling hours will be from 4:30-7:30 pm on Wednesday, June 20, at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 21, at St. Helena’s Church, Echo Lane, West Hartford at 10:00 am.
