Obituary for Richard J. Bifolck

Richard J. Bifolck, 79, of Newington, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. He was the son of the late Stella and Harry Bifolck and lived most of his life in Hartford. He was a printer for over 40 years, working with many different companies, and even owning his own business for a time. After retiring, he worked as a bike ranger for Riverfront Recapture - getting paid to do the thing he enjoyed the most - racking up miles on his bicycle! In addition to cycling, Richard enjoyed art history, red wine, good food and spending time with his wife and family. He was predeceased by his beloved son Gonzo the cat. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judith Ann Bifolck, children, Sherry (Terry) Buckhout, Donna (John) Grady, Michele Confalone, and Tess the Tabby; granddaughter, Ashley (Chris) Oliveira and grandsons, Tyler Buckhout, Michael Buckhout, and Zachary Confalone. A memorial mass will be held at Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield on Saturday, May 20 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UConn Medical for continued research in medical advancements.
